In 2025, the Repbulican dominiated legislture and governor removed gender identity from the Iowa Civil Rights Act, becoming the first state in the history of the United States to remove people from a civil rights act. Iowa state motto "Our Liberties We Prize, Our Rights We Will Maintain" is nothing but pathetic and hollow at this point. Iowa ranks among the most corrupt state government, if not being the most corrupt state government, in the United States.
